IRNA Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman announced that Iran will not interfere in recent ousting of the National Security Advisor of Iraq Falih Alfayyadh.
'This issue is an internal matter for Iraq and we do not interfere in it', Bahram Qasemi said on Saturday.
He stressed, 'As a neighbor, a safe, unified and advanced Iraq is a priority for Iran.'
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Thursday ousted Alfayyadh from power in Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and Iraqi National Security Organization.
Elaborating on his decision, al-Abadi said Alfayyadh has political activities which were in contrast with his sensitive security mission.
