SHANA -- Iran has started delivery of an offshore topside to be installed at Phase 14 of the supergiant South Pars Gas Field in Persian Gulf waters.
According to Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), delivery of the topside of Platform C14 began after its loading and bracing operations were successfully carried out.
The satellite platform is constructed for a daily recovery of 500 million cubic feed of sour gas from phase 14 reservoir.
A 2,200-ton carrier started delivering the structure to its designated offshore spot from the shipbuilding yard of Iran Marine Industrial Company (SADRA) on Saturday .
Installation of the structure will start next week and run through late September.
