SHANA -- Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoust once again announced Tehran's readiness to implement a gas export pipeline project to export the item to neighboring Pakistan, saying, "Tehran is prepared to meet Pakistan's need for energy."
Addressing the international conference of Pakistan's Geopolitical Requirements and Needs in Islamabad on Saturday, the official elaborated on the significance of the Iran-Pakistan pipeline, and added that implementation of the project could bring about fundamental developments to Pakistan's economy.
Operation of the gas pipeline between the two countries can relieve the new government in Pakistan of many problems it is wrestling with, he said.
He said the project would create thousands of jobs in Pakistan, calling on the Pakistani government to grab this opportunity so that their people would benefit from the pipeline.
