FNA - The Syrian and Russian fighter jets carried out a fresh round of heavy assaults on the positions and movements of Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) in Hama and Idlib provinces, inflicting major losses on the terrorists, a Syrian daily reported on Sunday.

The Arabic-language al-Watan daily reported that the warplanes and the Syrian Army's artillery and missile units targeted Tahrir al-Sham's movements and positions in the towns of Morek, al-Latamina, Kafr Zita and Qala al-Maziq and in the village of al-Sayad in Hama.

It further said that the artillery and air attacks destroyed terrorists' positions in the villages of Skeik, Kafr Ein, al-Tamanna, Abedin and Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib.

Tens of terrorists from Tahrir al-Sham and al-Turkistani Islamic Party were killed and their military equipment were destroyed in the attacks.

Field sources said on Saturday that the Syrian Air Force annihilated the command posts of Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group in the surrounding areas of al-Habit village in Southern Idlib, killing and injuring at least 15 terrorists.

Battlefield sources said that the Syrian army sent a large military convoy comprising tens of armored vehicles, tanks and BMP vehicles as well as several pickups carrying a large number of Syrian army troops to its battlefields in Idlib province.

They underlined that the Syrian army has sent thousands of its troops together with hundreds of tanks and trucks carrying weapons and ammunition to battlefields in Idlib, Hama and Lattakia.
