IRNA � Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Slovenian counterpart Miro Cerar discussed issues of mutual interest on Thursday.

During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the the 73rd United Nations General Assembly meetings, both sides reviewed bilateral relations especially in economic field.

Zarif together with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani arrived in New York on Sunday to attend the UNGA meeting.

He also participated in the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit and held talks with the P4+1 foreign ministers.

Zarif and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini in their first joint statement after the US withdrawal from Iran nuclera deal underlined preserving the agreement and meeting Iran's economic interests.
