SHANA -- The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) CEO, Hamid Reza Araghi, said the country was able to enhance its gas exports to the neighboring countries as well as other potential customers.
According to IRNA, Mr. Araghi told the Russian Energy Week in Moscow on Wednesday about the current state of the gas market in the world, saying that consumption indices in the world showed that consumption of energy would stay growing by 2030.
He said most of the gas consumption would be in power plants in the future.
Iran is one of the largest gas producers in the world, and in the near future, more neighbors will use Iranian gas, which requires that we prepare the ground for these conditions, the NIGC CEO said.
Given the infrastructure that has been created in Iran, this country holds the first place in the world's largest gas reserves, he added.
