SHANA - Head of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) said projects were under way which would double Irans Euro-4 gasoil production and distribution capacity by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20 2019.
Speaking to Shana, Alireza Sadiqabadi, NIORDC CEO, said an average of 29 million liters of Euro-4 gasoil was currently being produced domestically, adding once the naphtha hydrotreator unit of Bandar Abbas Refinery came online, a total of 16 ml/d of Euro-4 gasoil would be added to the facilitys daily output.
By launching the unit, the production of sulfur content of the gasoil produced at the refinery will reach 50 ppm from 350 ppm, he said.
Sadiqabadi emphasized that the refinery's isomerization unit would soon come online, which would convert the plants 12 ml/d gasoline output to Euro-4 petrol.
He said Persian Gulf Star Refinerys Euro-4 gasoil output would reach 12 ml/d by March 2019, adding all the projects would double the countrys gasoil production capacity.
