IRNA - Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said that the shameless crimes of takfiri terrorists are of bitter realities that the silence of human rights advocates against their evil crimes has threatened the security of civilians.
General Baqeri made the remarks at the 4th Asian-Pacific Military Medicine Congress.
'It is expected that such a worthwhile congress will consider these bitter realities, and an active role in the condemnation of these crimes will be considered,' he added.
General Baqeri further said that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to try to achieve the humanitarian goals of the International Congress on Military Medicine, to develop defense diplomacy in the field of military medicine, and to present their unique experiences in the field of treatment of chemical victims.'
General Baqeri added that 'while this great congress is being held to help war victims, we face painful realities in our region.'
'Today, the terrible scenes of tyrannizing the rights of the wounded and the sick by aggressors can be seen', he continued. 'Zionist abductors have martyred about 200 people during marches of returns in the occupied Palestine six months ago and wounded more than 20,000 people.'
'The exchange of knowledge and experience of military medicine can be one of the major milestones in the field of diplomacy for the development of international cooperation in defense,' General Baqeri said.
He expressed his hope that holding of the fourth Asia Pacific military medicine would be a turning-point for the supreme goals of this scientific and discipline organization.
