IRNA - Iran envoy to the UK, Hamid Baeidinejad, in a message appreciated British daily 'The Guardian' for its disclosure over Saudi regime's intervention in organizing Persian media.
'The recent articles by the @guardian to disclose the media intervention by the Saudi government to advance its political agenda should be appreciated and supported by international media in defense of professional journalism,' Baeidinejad tweeted on Saturday.
The Gurdian recently revealed that the government of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the British online newpaper Independent, has been working hard and spending millions of dollars to create Persian language media to wage a propagand war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the Guardian, the Saudis have also approached an Iranian journalist to edit the Independent's Farsi website.
She works for Iran International, a London-based TV news station, which the Guardian revealed receives its funding from the Saudi royal court.
Recently and following the disappearance of Saudi Arabian dissident journalsit Jamal Khashggi in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, this Iranian journalist tried to publish reports in the social networks tp promote the stance of Riyadh on the issue.
