Tasnim Mahdi Aliyari from Iran won a bronze medal at the Greco-Roman competition of the World Wrestling Championship on Sunday. Aliyari, who was scheduled to face Armenian Artur Aleksanyan, won the other 97kg bronze medal by forfeit. It was Irans first medal in the Greco-Roman competition. Serbian Mihail Kajala also won his first bronze world medal after beating Balazs Kiss from Hungary. Musa Evloev from Russia defeated Bulgarian Kiril Milov 7-2 in the final match. Russia finished with 178 team points in Greco-Roman, 89 points ahead of runner-up Hungary (89). Turkey finished third in the team standings with 75 points. Iran came 11th in the competition.
