SHANA - Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh has appointed Behzad Mohammadi as the new CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh issued a decree appointing Behzad Mohammadi as a new member of the board of directors of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) for three years and the companys CEO on Monday.
Mohammadi replaced Reza Norouzzadeh as NPC CEO.
"In accordance with the powers delegated to me by the General Assembly of the National Iranian Oil Company, and given your commitment, expertise and record of success, your services and experiences, I, hereby, appoint you as a main member of the board of directors of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), read the decree by Mr. Zangeneh on Monday.
By taking his new post, Mr. Mohammadi, a graduate of chemical engineering, has also become deputy petroleum minister for petrochemical affairs.
Previously, he served as the managing director of Oil Industries' Engineering and Construction (OIEC) and managing director of Oil Industries Commissioning and Operation Company (OICO) among other key posts in Irans oil industry.
The appointment came as the current NPC CEO, Reza Norouzzadeh, is stepping down because of retirement.
