SHANA - Experts at Ilam Petrochemical Complex materialized plans of the company to produce PE100 and 8200B grades of polyethylene.
According to the company, Hamed Khorrami, head of the heavy polyethylene plant of the complex, said that the company was able to supply PE100 grade of the item, saying: "This grade has different characteristics, needs less raw materials and has the ability to withstand more pressure for production of pipes."
Referring to the fact that 100% of the plants forces were from the province's natives in western Iran, he added, "The heavy polyethylene plant has the capacity to produce 300,000 tons of different grades of the item annually."
PE100 can withstand pressures of up to 10 bar for a period of 50 years.
