TASS - Rescue services have recovered nine bodies of the victims from a cargo plane that crashed in Iran on Monday morning, Fars News Agency reported.
There is one woman among the deceased. Search for the remains of six more people who were on board the plane continues. The rescuers also reportedly found the black box and gave it to experts for deciphering.
The cargo plane Boeing 707 en route from Bishkek to Payam Airport in the town of Karaj (40 km away from Tehran) on Monday crashed during the landing. The pilots mistakenly started the landing at another airport in Karaj and did not manage to land the aircraft within the runway. The Boeing 707 crashed into a wall at the airport and entered a residential area near the airport. According to preliminary information, there were 16 people on board the plane. At least one of them survived.
