IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif at the end of his visit to Iraq left Najaf for Tehran on Thursday evening.
Zarif and the accompanying high-ranking politico-economic delegation after a 5-day visit to Iraq and holding negotiations with senior Iraqi officials in Baghdad and Erbil are returning home.
The foreign minister also participated in five gatherings of economic activists in different cities of Iraq and got acquainted with obstacles and problems in the way of expansion of ties between the two countries.
Concerning results of his visit to Iraq, Zarif pointed to existing potential for mutual cooperation between the two countries, and underlined that Iran is fully ready to take serious steps in connection with cancellation of reciprocal visa, reducing or eliminating customs tariffs and establishment of industrial towns in border areas.
He added that Iran-Iraq relations have a bright and clear horizon.
