Flights of Mashhad-Dushanbe to resume on Feb 14

IRNA - The second vice president of Iran-Tajikistan's joint chamber said flights of Mashad-Dushanbe will be resumed by Qeshm Airliner on February 14

Abdul Reza Mohammadi said on Tuesday in a press conference in Mashad, that 'by the end of the current Iranian year (starting in March 21), the second flight is supposed to resume by the support of merchants, businessmen and Iranian engineering that play an important role in Tajikistan's dam construction projects'.

The flights of Aseman Airliner from Mashhad to Dushanbe were cut off four months ago.

He said that the Tajik Airliner had interrupted its flights to Iran for one month and flights to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Almata, and even Yerevan had been cut off, so that Central Asia had no fly, and businessmen instead of going to Mashhad for Dushanbe in an hour and 30 minutes had to go to Turkey and from there to Central Asia, where their journey lasted 24 hours.

Mohammadi added that the reason for the cancellation of flights from Mashhad to Tajikistan was an economic one that Aseman company had canceled this flight line about four months ago, due to the lack of affordability.
