IRNA - Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami reaffirmed the need to rely on domestic power to circumvent sanctions and overcome the problems.
General Hatami said that 'The Islamic Republic of Iran is at its peak on the 40th anniversary of the victory of the revolution and can continue its path for many years.'
The Official clarified, 'The enemies tried to confront the great revolution in the 40th anniversary of the victory, but we thank God that they did not succeed.
The minister of Defense argued that the actions that they were taking against Iran first created problems for the people and then for other sectors, which we are passing through to divine bounty. These enemy actions have become a valuable opportunity for us.
Brigadier Amir Hatami on the sidelines of the exhibition of the achievements of the Revolutionary Guard's medical department also noted that, on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory Fateh submarine was launched, built by the country's defense experts.
He added that the submarine will be joined to the Armys South Naval Fleet.
The Fateh-class submarine is a 527-tonn vessel that is considered as a semi-heavy submarine, its tonnage in below sea level is 593 tons. The submarine, which is superior to Ghadir in terms of operational characteristics, has the ability to move at a depth of 200 meters and dives into a maximum depth of 250 meters. Fateh has the ability to sail for 35 days, which is a remarkable improvement in comparison to Ghadir submarine.
The surface speed of Fateh is 11 knots (20.35 km / h) and in submersion is 14 knots (25.9 km / h). The submarine is capable of carrying subterranean missiles, surface-to-air missiles, and also has the ability to carry Ranger forces and deliver them to points of interest.
Fateh has four 533mm caliber torpedoes and has the ability to carry 8 sea mines and also has two reserve torpedoes.
