Tasnim � An Iranian Health Ministry official denied rumors about an outbreak of swine flu in the country.

In comments on Saturday, Mohammad Mahdi Guya, director of a ministerial center for prevention of contagious diseases, said Iran is not facing any outbreak of H1N1 flu.

He added that nearly all cases of flu in Iran in this year�s cold season included H3N2 strain.

In January, the Foreign Ministry urged Iranian citizens to avoid traveling to Georgia where a swine flu had broken out.

The H1N1 flu strain, commonly known as swine flu, spread throughout Georgia in early 2019, killing a number of people.
