IRNA - Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani emphasized the good ties and proximity at various levels between Iran and China, and the two parliaments in the international communities have always supported each other.

Before departing for China on Monday while describing the goal of his visit, Larijani said, 'Tehran and Beijing are two historically civilized countries that have always been in close contact with each other which the Silk Road is the manifestation of these civilizational ties between the two countries.'

Expressing that there has always been a high level of political consultations between the two countries in recent decades, he added, 'There has also been economic and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries in recent decades which during Chinese president's visit to Iran, he had good talks for all-out cooperation.'

'The relations between the two parliaments of Iran and China between the two countries and the international community are always appropriate and support each other and there have been constructive talks with the chairman of the Chinese parliament,' the senior official said, noting that the parliamentary cooperation between Iran and China was always at a good level.

Noting that his trip to China is being carried out at the invitation of the head of the Chinese parliament, the head of the Iranian legislature stated that in the visit parliamentary negotiations and other talks in various fields to raise the level of political, cultural, scientific and economic relations are on the agenda.
