IRNA - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman announced the formation of a committee to implement the recommendations of the Supreme Leader in foreign policy and international relations.

At a weekly news conference and in response to a question on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei�s recent statement, Bahram Qasemi recalled 'The Second Phase of the Revolution' and Foreign Ministry�s plans to realize the statement.

'I think that about 15 recommendations in the new policy announced by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is in the field of foreign policy, and I guess that most of these recommendations were being implemented from the past and should be followed with more seriousness and a deeper look.�

The official added, �A committee has been set up to study these issues. We will strive to act as a foreign policy implementer to put into practice all the points in the future processes of foreign policy and international relations in the global and regional arena.�

Speaking in response to another question about Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX) and the issues raised by European countries, the spokesman said that �our criticisms of the three European countries remained on this mechanism, and that they were delayed, while the FATF has nothing to do with this mechanism'.

He stated that Iran is not a country that accepts a condition and in the European statement no condition has not been raised, while they cannot make a condition. What is called the mechanism is a small part of the obligations of the European countries that want to stay in JCPOA. These countries should adhere to their commitments and implement them.

Qasemi went on to say that 'We do not see any connection between them, and Europe must activate and enforce this mechanism. We are waiting for the quickest way to enter the implementation phase.�

The spokeswoman further noted that 'Europeans need to know how long our patience in this area can continue.'

About the FATF and Palermo bills, he continued, 'We have expressed our expert opinions in the same way as the parliament and other government bodies, and we repeat that the adoption of these bills, regardless of the mechanism of INSTEX and without any connection with the JCPOA, are in the interests of the country, the people and the foreign economy of the Islamic Republic.�

�We hope that the Expediency Council, which for any reason and despite all the sympathies and committed people who are interested in the fate of the country, has not yet been able to reach a decision, to ultimately reach a right decision and ratify what is the beneficial for the country.
