IRNA - Iran's Health Minister Saeed Namaki announced that unprecedented heavy rain and flash floods in Iran have so far left 45 victims. Addressing Lorestan crisis management meeting, Namaki said people could pass a difficult step by solidarity and unity. He added that despite heavy floods, no infection case has been reported. Meanwhile, earlier Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the importance of timely programs to control any forthcoming heavy rain and floods. President Rouhani made the remarks while touring various development projects in the province of Khuzestan in southwest of the country. Good management in the province prevented occurrence of any problems resulting in devastating flood in the province. Some 35 villages are in danger of inundated waters to be outpoured from Karkhe and Dez damns. Devastating flood hit various provinces in Iran in recent days leaving high number of casualties. Devastating floods claimed lives of many people in Iran while inflicting huge damages to the country's properties. A torrential rain on March 25-26 caused flashflood in some districts of Shiraz, capital of the southern province of Fars.
