IRNA - Iran says its nuclear program's Possible Military Dimensions (PMD) file has been officially closed at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board of governors.
'PMD is a thing of the past and the file has been closed legally and politically at the IAEA board of governors, Atomic Energy Organization of Iran spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told reporters on the sidelines of the National Nuclear Technology Day in Tehran.
The IAEA Chief Yukia Amano has said over and over again what he had to say. Maybe Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and some other people are thinking about the file, but it has been closed both politically and legally, he added.
The Iranian official noted that IAEAs 2015 report states that it was a thing of the past. 'Even Mr. Amano came to Parchin site and several samples were taken, all questions were answered and finally the file was closed at the board of governors,' Kamalvandi mentioned.
He stressed that Netanyahus efforts to pressure the IAEA to reopen the file are futile. Its all media propaganda, he added.
