IRNA Iranian Minister of Economy Farhad Dejpasand on Thursday signaled his countrys readiness to outsource over $50 billion worth of projects within the framework of Belt and Road initiative.
Dejpasand made the remarks in the 2nd Belt and Road Conference in the Chinese capital.
Belt and Road initiative was introduced by Chinese President Xi Jinping during visits to Kazakhstan and Indonesia in 2013.
Implementation of Belt and Road initiative will play a key role in international developments and helping promote relations among world countries, Dejpasand said.
The initiative can help create and strengthen sustainable security and global peace, the Iranian minister added.
He underlined the need for continued interactions on strategies, plans and bilateral and multilateral developmental policies, urging the main role of China in increasing trust among the member-states.
Dejpasand also noted that cooperation in international organizations such as Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the United Nations can further strengthen relations and coordinate the policies of the member-states and give a boost to their strategic relations.
The 2nd Belt and Road Conference opened in Beijing earlier in the day.
Three Iranian delegations are present at the Conference.
