Iran says ready to carry out JCPOA like France does

Tasnim Irans Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tehran is prepared to deal with the 2015 nuclear agreement in the exact way that France and its European allies have been implementing it over the past year.

In a statement on Tuesday, Abbas Mousavi said Tehran is ready to fully support the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and do its best to implement it exactly like France.

"We think such behavior should be completely convincing for the French who claim to support the nuclear agreement," the Foreign Ministrys website quoted him as saying.

The spokesman made the comments in response to his French counterparts statement that Paris strongly urges Iran to continue to implement all of its obligations under the JCPOA.

In May 2018, the US president pulled his country out of the JCPOA, which was achieved in 2015 after years of negotiations among Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).

Ever since, the EU has failed to make good on its promise to save the nuclear deal and facilitate Irans economic trade with the international community.
