Irans president-elect: Nation voted for change
Irans president-elect called his win in national elections this month a vote for change and vowed Saturday to remain committed to his campaign promises of moderation and constructive interaction with the outside world.

 

Iran equips civilian vessels with missile-launchers
Deputy Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Abbas Zamini downplayed the effects of the western sanctions against Irans defense industry, and announced that the country has equipped a large number of its civilian vessels with missile-launching systems for military operations.

Transit of goods via Iran up 11%, official says
Irans deputy minister of roads and urban developmentsays over 3.39 million tons of commodities were transited through Iran during the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2013), which is an 11 percent rise compared to the same three-month period in the previous year.
