SHANA -- The CEO of the Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) said the company was serious in exploiting the equipment and services offered by domestic companies.

According to IOTC, Abbas Asadvouz told a technical meeting of the company that tapping the potentialities of domestic startups was also one of the priorities of the company

�Given the petroleum minister�s directive to take advantage of domestic startups and equipment, this issue has been systematically considered by IOTC in its planning,� he said.

The official further added that Iran�s oil terminal in Khark Island was regarded as one of the oldest and well-known oil terminals in the world.

�One of the main goals of the company is to use domestic capabilities in order to save costs of purchasing imported items and taking steps to ensure self-sufficiency in supplying items and parts,� he added.
