Financial Tribune - Mobarakeh Steel Company registered the largest share of steel production in Iran during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2019-Jan. 20) with an output of 14.65 million tons.
The company produced 6.84 million tons of finished steel during the period, posting a 4% rise compared with last year's corresponding period.
In addition, 7.8 million tons of semi-finished steel were produced by MSC, going up by 1% year-on-year, the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organizations latest report shows.
Located in southwestern Isfahan, Mobarakeh Steel Company is the biggest steel producer in Iran and the Middle East and North Africa region.
In terms of finished steel production, MSC was followed by Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) with 1.93 million tons (up 6% YOY), Oxin Steel Company with 652,580 tons (up 25% YOY), Khorasan Steel Company with 513,922 tons (up 9% YOY),
