The top Iranian diplomat held separate telephone conversations with his Turkmen and Pakistani counterparts and with caretaker of the Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan on Thursday.
The talks with Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rasit Meredow revolved around the bilateral ties between Tehran and Ashgabat, the battle with COVID-19 outbreak, and the foreign sanctions against Iran.
Zarif also held negotiations with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi about the latest developments in Tehran-Islamabad relations, efforts to contain the coronavirus, the sanctions, and political developments in Afghanistan.
In the Iranian foreign ministers phone conversation with caretaker of the Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan Hanif Atmar, the two diplomats talked about the process of political consensus in Afghanistan, the bilateral ties between Tehran and Kabul, the coronavirus pandemic, and other issues of mutual interest.
