Iranian female weight lifter Yekta Jamali lifted 92kg weight and received bronze medal in the 2021 IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships which was held in Tashkent, Uzbelistan.
Jamali first lifted 85kg weight and then succeeded in lifting 90kg.
She then tried and lifted the 92kg weight andsnatched her bronze medal in an international event.
Uzbek and American athletes received the gold and silver medals.
Speaking to IRNA, deputy head of Iran weight lifting federation for women affairs Maryam Monazami hailed Jamalis success, saying it indicates development in Iranian women wight lifting.
In the snatch category, Jamali lifted 92 kg weight and in clean-and-jerk category, she lifted 116 kg weight.
