Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei agreed with a proposal to commute and pardon prison terms and change the sentences of some 2,825 Iranian prisoners.

The proposal was made by Judiciary chief Hojjatoleslam Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Ghadir which was agreed by Ayatollah Khamenei.

Earlier in June,��Ayatollah Khamenei pardoned or commuted the sentences of 5,156 Iranian convicts on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS).
