The trial of Azerbaijani activists, who were arrested along with and after scientific worker of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Institute of Literature named after Nizami, researcher and writer Khalida Khalid, has started.APAreports quoting Oyannews that Ilgar Muazzinzadeh, Mahammad Rashidi, ashug Isa Garakhanli, Amir Hadiyan and Farhadi are judged at Tabriz Revolutionary Court. Azerbaijani activists are accused of carrying out propaganda against authorities and attempting to undermine national security.
On April 30, researcher and writer Khalida Khalid and her driver Shamkhal Huseynov were arrested in Tehran. On June 6, they returned to Baku.
