A senior Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Ministry said that there are tourism projects worth of six trillion tomans under implementation in Iran.
2,500 investment projects are being implement nationwide, Mohsen Qoreishi said on Tuesday, adding that the projects would have a big share in the job market after implementation.
About 30 tourism projects with over 1.6 trillion tomans are being implemented in Semnan Province alone, providing over 1,300 jobs, Qoreishi noted.
Iran is trying to improve its tourism industry and further attract foreign investment and tourists, as the administration of President Ebrahim Raisi has prioritized developing multidimensional relations with neighboring countries.
Iran has also entered visa waiver agreements with some countries in the region to facilitate entry of businesspeople and tourists.
