Iran export sees hike despite sanctions, threats: Raisi

Iran export sees hike despite sanctions, threats: Raisi
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says that the growth of export in the country can be seen despite all the sanctions and threats.

Speaking at the 26th National Export Day Ceremony in Tehran Summit Hall, Raisi said, "40% growth of the country's exports last year and 13% growth of non-oil exports this year shows the determination of economic activists who want to grow the export of the country."

"The committees that work for the growth of exports and removing the obstacles facing exporters should pay more attention to the views and opinions of exporters than others," he added.

Referring to the naming of this year by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the President stated, "This year, all our efforts should be in the direction of production growth, especially knowledge-based and technology-based production."

Raisi described the statistics presented by the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade regarding the 5% growth of production as very good news and noted, "Also the news of the growth of production equipment and tools, the growth of listed companies in the stock market, the reduction of the unemployment rate in the country, the connection of the economic infrastructure with the Shanghai and Asia Organisation and the Eurasian Union, the removal of neighbourhood communication barriers and the activation of various communication with neighbouring countries are good news for the production."

Referring to the expansion of economic relations with the countries of the region, the President said, "We must revive Iran's share in the economic interactions of the region, including in the transit of goods, monetary and financial circulation and other economic fields."

Raisi considered the achievements presented in this ceremony as evidence that economic growth in an ideal country is not unattainable and added, "Achieving a growth rate of about 5% in the first six months of this government's activity, i.e. in the second six months of 1400, means that this year, we will have more than 5% growth in production."

The President said, "We have strong-willed people in the economic field who, if the obstacles are removed from them, have the motivation and idea to work together and cooperate in the direction of advancing the economic growth of the country."

Stating that the country's economic growth has made the enemy angry, the President noted, "The imposition of sanctions on Islamic Iran is all for the country not to grow, not to produce and export, not to be productive and to be a consumer."

Raisi added, "When you want to have the upper hand in production and export in the region and the world, the enemy gets angry, because it says that we made a plan in the US Treasury Department, we put many forces everywhere in the world to stop you, but you raise your hopes, production, economic growth and export amid all these sanctions and threats."

He said, "The enemy does not want this to happen, therefore, they incite riots. They officially say this and act on it. Wherever Iranian economic actors are present and you want to market and offer your goods, they create obstacles so that your goods do not have a market. This is a war of wills."

Raisi stated that the enemy is determined that we do not grow and develop, and said, "The enemy does not want the Iranian nation to have a say in the economy, production and export, the Iranian nation has also decided to conquer the markets by supplying the best products. We have shown that we will not stop".

He continued, "If the revival of factories and production workshops and their return to production, increase in exports, positive trade balance, promotion of production, oil and non-oil exports in the enemy country make the enemy angry, let them be angry and die of this anger, but we will not stop."

The President called the producers and exporters the officers and soldiers of bypassing and neutralizing the sanctions and clarified, "Today, when we talk to our enemies, we talk with the support of the people and farmers, artisans, engineers and activists in various production fields. They are angry with us. The enemy doesn't want you to have production. Yesterday, you needed barbed wire and they didn't give it to you, but today when in New York, in Samarkand and in many other countries where the heads of the countries meet with me, one of their demands is to buy from Iran's military industries."

Raisi noted, "When today in the military and nuclear industries, we have reached a point where we have something to say in the region and the world, it turns out that strong-willed people and young people have worked day and night in this field; This is a battlefield and the enemy does not want you to have the upper hand."

The President stated that they are willing to give us ready-made goods, but they will not give us the formula for its production, and said, "The reason for this is to stop us from being independent. They want to be able to prevent us from getting any goods whenever they want."

The President pointed out the role of improving quality in better marketing of manufactured goods and stated, "Profiting should be in the shadow of providing quality work. An increase in exports will lead to an increase in production and as a result to economic growth, and this cycle depends on quality production."

Emphasizes that the Iranian nation, just as it excelled in the Imposed War, will also win and excel in the sanctions war with the participation of economic actors and producers, saying, "Exporters and producers are the officers of the sanctions war, and they should strive to win this battle".

Raisi emphasized the need to facilitate the export of goods and provide the country's foreign exchange resources from the income derived from it and said, "The export of goods and the return of the resulting currency should have a correct and transparent mechanism and everyone should complete this mechanism."

The President added, "We should take seriously the added value and make up for the backwardness in this field faster. For this purpose, political diplomacy should serve economic diplomacy. The first concern of all our diplomats should be economic issues. The role of diplomacy should be considered in the development of the country."

Referring to the activation of commercial offices in some countries he has visited in the past year, the President stated, "The country's production capacities and capabilities are introduced to the target countries from these centres and commercial offices."

The President also mentioned the activation of border markets and added, "The activation of these markets helps in the development of trade, but the activity of these markets should be legalized."

The President stated, "Today, the parliament and the government and all the institutions of the country are determined to follow the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution to increase and promote production in the country, increase and promote exports, especially non-oil exports, and all relevant departments must support and monitor production and exports."

The President said, "The Supreme Leader wants all of us to do double work in the country. What has been done is very good, but with your efforts and the support of related sectors, it is possible to realise more economic growth, higher production, and more and better exports."
