The International Conference of Iran and the Malay World has been held at the University of Nottingham Teaching Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The two-day conference was organized by some research institutes as well as faculties of the University of Nottingham and was held on October 29 and 30.
The opening ceremony of the conference was held in the presence of the director of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs, the Iranian ambassador to Kuala Lumpur, the former Malaysian ambassador to Tehran, as well as some academic, political, and cultural officials from Malaysia and other regional states.
In recent years, some scientific and research institutes in Malaysia and other countries in the region have tried to hold seminars and conferences at regional and international levels in order to introduce the rich culture, science, and history of Iran.
The first scientific conference of Iranian cultural heritage and the Malay world was warmly welcomed in 2017, and the selection of articles presented at the conference won the 2019 national book award of Malaysia.
The International Conference of Iran and the Malay World was held in the presence of some Iranian and Malaysian thinkers in a bid to review historical relationships and future cooperation.
In the two-day event, some pundits from Iran, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, and Malaysia made speeches.
