Iran denounces Israel exclusion from UN list of shame

The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry raps the United Nations for leaving Israel off the UN's list of shame despite the regimes appalling human rights violations.

In a post on his Twitter account on Sunday, Nasser Kanaani said it is surprising that the Israeli regime has been left off the list of shame despite imprisoning 160 children and keeping 600 innocent children and 600 Palestinian patients, including 30 physically disabled ones, under house arrest.

He said the child-murdering Zionist regime has been excluded from the UN list of shame while its forces have killed 26 Palestinian children during the first half of the current year alone.

The dark record of Zionists in committing such acts must bring shame and disgrace on the Western supporters of the apartheid (Israeli) regime, the spokesman added.

Human rights organizations have made repeated requests that Israel be added to the UN blacklist over the killing and maiming of Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank.

The UN chief said in a recent report that he was deeply concerned by the number of Palestinian children killed by Israeli forces in 2022.

According to the report, 42 Palestinian children were killed and 933 injured in 2022 by Israeli forces. In 2021, Israeli forces killed 78 Palestinian children.
