The Iran Project : Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said here on Thursday that he is to be in Moscow, Russia, today to follow up efforts to immediate halt to bombardment of Gaza and the siege of the people in the Strip.
According to The Iran Project,President Raisi made the remark while speaking to reporters in Tehran before his travel to Moscow under the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Holding talks on ways to send humanitarian aid to Palestine and help the Palestinians fulfill their legitimate rights will be among the plans during the Moscow visit, the president underlined.
He went on to say that his visit is taking place at the invitation of the Russian president to discuss the critical situation in the region and review ways to expand bilateral relations in various areas.
In recent years, Tehran and Moscow have taken good steps towards strengthening bilateral ties and serving the regional interests, according to president’s remarks at Mehrabad airport in western Tehran.
As he stressed, Iran and Russia follow regional peace and stability as they enjoy common attitude towards the regional and extra-regional issues.
About bilateral cooperation, President Raisi referred to the issues of energy, industry and agriculture as the fields of relations.
Raisi at the head of a high-raking delegation left Tehran for a two-day stay in Moscow on Thursday morning.
The visit will be the second time that Raisi travels to the Russian capital as an Iranian president since he took office in August 2021.
