The Iran Project : The production performance of Iranian automobile manufacturers during the 9 months of the current year indicates that more than 822,000 cars were produced in the country, of which 77.5% was the share of two government-owned car manufacturers and 22.5% was the share of the private sector.

According to The Iran Project, according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, from the beginning of the Iranian calendar year (starting on March 21) to the end of December 21, 989,913 cars were produced in the country which has increased by 13% compared to 877,612 produced vehicles in the same period last year.

Out of this number of produced cars, 76,6047 were produced by governmental automakers, and 223,442 were produced by private car manufacturers.

Out of the number of cars produced in the 9 months of this year, about 837,345 cars are passenger cars, which it shows a 10% growth in passenger car production compared to the production statistics in the same period last year.

In total, 761,508 passenger cars were completely produced in the country in the last 9 months.

The second largest number of produced vehicles goes to the category of vans, which includes 120,839 produced vans in the first 9 months of this year.

The production of vans in the 9 months of this year has increased by 36% compared to the same period last year when 88,736 vans were produced.
