The Iran Project : The development of Iran's relations with Iraq is a strategic, macro and national decision in Iran, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said, stressing the need to fully implement the Tehran-Baghdad agreement.
According to The Iran Project, the Minister of the Interior of Iraq met and held talks with the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri.
Their meeting took place at National Defense University of Tehran on Wednesday.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed topics such as Arbaeen pilgrimage, education and border cooperation.
President Raeisi paid special attention to the development of relations with the country of Iraq; During his tenure in the judiciary, they had traveled to Iraq, and he was going to make another trip to Iraq before the incident (helicopter crash) happened.

"Therefore this tragic incident did not affect the level of relations and our relations will be expanded," he added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he emphasized the cooperation between the border guards of Iran and Iraq.
Referring to the activities of terrorist and separatist and illegal groups in Iraqi Kurdistan, he said, "An agreement has been signed between the two countries regarding the disarmament and deployment of terrorist groups in controlled camps, which must be fully followed and implemented."
