The Iran Project : The acting president of Iran briefed President-Elect Masoud Pezeshkian on the latest status of the executive affairs, as the 14th administration is going to take office within the next few weeks.
According to The Iran Project, in a meeting on Sunday, Acting President Mohammad Mokhber provided Pezeshkian with general information about the political, economic, cultural and social affairs that were handled by the administration of late President Ebrahim Raisi, who passed away in a helicopter crash on May 19.
For his part, Pezeshkian paid tribute to his predecessor and hailed the outgoing cabinet’s efforts during the past three years.
The president-elect also appreciated Mokhber for overseeing trouble-free presidential elections in a short time span.
Pezeshkian, a physician-turned-politician, won the Iranian presidential runoff election on July 5 by winning 53.66% of the votes.
