The Iran Project : Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says the expansion of relations between Iran and Indonesia in various fields will help foster unity among the Muslim nations and promote global peace and stability.
According to The Iran Project, Pezeshkian made the remark in a message to Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Friday, expressing his congratulations over the Independence Day of Indonesia, which commemorates the anniversary of the country’s proclamation of independence on August 17, 1945.
He pointed to historical bonds and issues of common interests between Tehran and Jakarta as well as their huge capacities in various sectors and expressed hope that the two sides will further boost close relations and eternal friendship.
Both Iran and Indonesia have had tense relations with the United States and seek to strengthen political and economic ties amid heightened global geopolitical tensions.
