Iran has produced 25.654 million tons of cement in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), marking a five-percent rise in weight compared to the corresponding period last year.
The Islamic Republic produced 25.213 million tons of clinker during the four-month period. The figure rose by almost 6 percent in weight compared to the same period in the past year.

Iran is projected to increase its cement output to 75 million tons and export 12 million tons by the end of the current Iranian calendar year.

The country plans to boost its cement output to 85 million tons by the end of the next Iranian calendar year (starts March 21, 2014).

Iranian Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari said in August 2012 that the country's cement production capacity will reach 110 million tons by 2015.

Iran exported cement to 24 countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Oman, India, and China in the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2013.)
