France strongly condemns aggression on Lebanon

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron met and held talks on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly summit in New York.

During the meeting, Pezeshkian said that France can play a much more effective role in stopping the crimes of the Zionist regime.

"Today, the people of Iran and the region are severely affected by the crimes of the Zionist regime, and the continuation of these crimes can get the situation out of control," he added.

Macron, for his part, said that France strongly condemns the aggression against Lebanon and has used all its efforts to exert pressure and stop this aggression.

This is the first time that Pezeshkian and Macron meet.
