According to The Iran Project, speaking to reports in Istanbul on Friday, the Iranian foreign minister said he has visited several countries in recent days to discuss the delicate situation in the region, the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression against Lebanon and Gaza, and the current dangerous conditions.

He noted that his visit to Turkey, after trips to Jordan and Egypt, has coincided with the second foreign ministerial meeting of 3+3 format about the Caucasus.

“In the region, there is a common understanding of the threat of clashes in Lebanon, the issue of the displaced people, and the probability of expansion of war. There is also a common concern among all countries,” Araqchi added.

He noted that Iran’s diplomatic activities are aimed at addressing the current conditions, preventing an escalation of tensions, and controlling the situation.

Hailing the good relations between Iran and Turkey and the close consultations between the two neighbors on the regional issues, Araqchi said the bilateral consultations have become even more significant at present considering the current threats in the region.

Pointing to Georgia’s absence from the 3+3 format meeting, the Iranian minister said the other nations have shown determination to hold talks about the problems of the Caucasus, which has experienced war in its recent history.

“We must try to resolve the regional issues in a peaceful manner, so that the security and political arrangements in the region would result in peace and stability,” Araqchi stated.

The Iranian foreign minister has stepped up diplomatic efforts in recent weeks to address the regional conflicts and put an end to the Israeli regime’s crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.

He has visited Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, Jordan, and Egypt in the past two weeks.
