Iran lauds Arab states’ rejection of US-Israeli plan for Gaza

The Iran Project : The foreign minister of Iran praised the Persian Gulf Arab countries for dismissing a US-Israeli plan for the forced relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

According to The Iran Project, In a meeting with Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, held on the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference in Muscat on Sunday, Abbas Araqchi stressed the need for closer cooperation among regional countries considering the importance and sensitivity of the developments.

The top Iranian diplomat also praised Arab countries, especially the Persian Gulf states, for condemning and rejecting the US-Israeli plan for the forced relocation of the people of Gaza to other countries.

Araqchi also denounced the Israeli prime minister’s brazen comments about the formation of a Palestinian state inside Saudi Arabia.

He emphasized the need for the Muslim world to raise a united voice in support of the Palestinian people.

For his part, Albudaiwi called for the continuation of dialogue and interaction between the PGCC and Iran on the issues of mutual interest.

Expressing the council’s strong opposition to the Zionist regime’s attempts at the displacement of Palestinians, he welcomed Iran’s proposal for an emergency ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation about Gaza.

The two officials also discussed the issues of mutual interest at the international level.
