The Iran Project : Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian described the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as new grounds for closer cooperation between Iran and Russia.

According to The Iran Project, In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk, held in Tehran on Tuesday, Pezeshkian said the conclusion of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership marks a turning point in the history of cooperation between Iran and Russia.
He also expressed hope that the officials of the two countries would prioritize the implementation of the strategic treaty.
Pezeshkian characterized bilateral collaboration the in energy, industry, transportation and trade as highly positive.
He noted that regional and international organizations, such as the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the BRICS group, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have created new platforms for joint cooperation, his official website reported.
For his part, Overchuk conveyed warm greetings from Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and President Vladimir Putin to the Iranian president.
He also expressed satisfaction with the signing of the treaty, saying the interactions and collaboration between the two countries have significantly increased since the event.
The Russian official stated that the 3rd Caspian Economic Forum provided an excellent platform for the purposeful development of ties among the littoral states of the Caspian Sea.
The Russian deputy prime minister also referred to his visit to an exhibition showcasing Iran’s achievements in Tehran, emphasizing that sharing these capabilities with the other countries will create opportunities for the Iranian economy.
