Iranian president, Hassan Rohani, has presided over his first cabinet meeting following his inauguration in the Majlis earlier this week.
With the Majlis still in deliberation over the vote of confidence to Rohanis proposed cabinet members, the ministers of the administration of Irans former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended the meeting.
Mohammad Nahavandian, Rohanis chief of staff and the former chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM); and First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri also attended the meeting.
Rohani said during his first press conference on Tuesday that the meeting would address the issue of subsidies policy in the new administration.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei endorsed Rohani for a four-year term in office as Irans new president in a ceremony on Saturday.
The presidents swearing-in ceremony was held in Majlis with the participation of Iranian lawmakers and officials as well as foreign dignitaries from more than 50 countries.
Rohani won the June 14 presidential election with 50.7 percent of a total of 36, 704, 156 ballots. Voter turnout in the election was 72.7 percent.
