TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined Tehran and Abu Dhabi's abundant commonalities, and called for the further improvement of the relations between the two sides.
The Iranian top diplomat made the remarks in a telephone conversation with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.
He then referred to commonalities shared by the two nations, underlining the need for further boost in bilateral ties.
He hoped the two states would witness growing relations under the new Iranian administration.
Bin Zayed, for his part, felicitated Zarif on appointment as Iran's new foreign minister.
Iran attaches importance to strengthening ties with the Middle East's countries in a bid to maintain security in the region.
