Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA - Irans Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Ali-Akbar Marzban said here on Sunday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a forerunner in all fields in the Caspian Sea region.
Marzban made the remarks while touring Amir Abad Special Zone in the northern province of Mazandaran.

He underlined that Iran enjoys a proper status at international and regional bodies, particularly in the field of protecting environment.

Compared to regional states, Iran has an elite situation in terms of ship ownership, observing the international standards, playing active role in international organizations and marine presence, he said.
