Dushanbe, Sept 3, IRNA -- Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Zhang Sinfen and the Iranian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ali Mardanifard underscored upgraidng cooperation between the organziation and the Iranian relevent institutes.
The two officials said that they are willing to strengthen anti-terrorism collaboration between SCO and Iran, according to Iranian Embassy in Tashkent.
They also voiced their readiness to further pormote mutual cooperation on the issues of security concern and holding regular consultations.
Mardanifard hoped that Sinfen would visit Iran to talk with directors of the the instituets involved in fighting international terrorism and drug trafficking.
The 13th summit of SCO due to be held on September 12-13 in presence of President Hassan Rohani.
SCO was established in 2001 and is a permanent intergovernmental organisation. It includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzystan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan, all of whom have observer status. Belarus and Turkey and Sri Lanka are dialogue partners.
