Iranian parliamentary group in Slovenia for 4-day visit

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A group of Iranian lawmakers started their visit to Slovenian capital city, Ljubljana, during which they will meet the countrys senior political and parliamentary officials.



The Iranian delegation led by Head of the Iranian Parliament Friendship Group Vahid Ahmadi left Tehran for Ljubljana on Monday.

The Iranian lawmakers are scheduled to meet with the heads of different commissions of the Slovenian parliament as well as the countrys minister of economy.

Vahid Ahmadi had told Tasnim last week that this is the first visit of an Iranian parliamentary delegation to Slovenia.

He expressed the hope that the visit would bear good results for the Iranian nation.

Republic of Slovenia is a nation state in southern Central Europe at the crossroads of main European cultural and trade routes.

It borders Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Croatia to the south and southeast and Hungary to the northeast.

It covers 20,273 square kilometers and has a population of 2.05 million. It is a parliamentary republic and a member of the European Union and NATO.
