Iran-US ties will further isolate Israel: Official

The resumption of ties between Iran and the US will further isolate the Israeli regime, says the secretary general of Irans Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN).
The positions adopted by the Zionists against the Islamic Republic of Iran clearly show that they are angry with Irans pacifist stances and the global support for such a stand, Mohammad Reza Ayatollahi told IRNA on Saturday.

The officials of the Zionist regime (Israel) seek [to stoke] tension against the Iranian nation, he added.

He pointed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus address to the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly and said that the official sought to spread propaganda against Iran through lies and aggressiveness.

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly session on Tuesday, Netanyahu threatened unilateral military action against Iran to dismantle the Islamic Republics civilian nuclear facilities.

He repeated his baseless accusation that Tehran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons, saying, If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone.

Ayatollahi stated that the Israeli prime minister is a deceitful individual.
He (Netanyahu) is irked by the telephone conversation between Iranian and US presidents Dr. Hassan Rouhani and Barack Obama and seeks to press ahead with ominous plots against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the SDPN secretary general stated.
On September 27, Rouhani and Obama held a landmark telephone conversation mainly focusing on Irans nuclear energy program.

It was the first direct communication between an Iranian and a US president since the victory of Irans Islamic Revolution more than three decades ago.

The two presidents stressed Tehran and Washingtons political will to swiftly resolve the dispute over Irans nuclear energy program, which the United States, Israel and some of their allies claim has non-civilian purposes. Iran has categorically rejected the allegation.
